NYT Strands today (game #539) - the answers (Image credit: New York Times) The answers to today's Strands, game #539, are… BLASTING LOUD BOOMING NOISY STRIDENT BOISTEROUS SPANGRAM: HUBBUB My rating: Hard My score: Perfect I was expecting today’s search to be about explosions. Especially as the first word I found was BLASTING, but BOISTEROUS and STRIDENT describe LOUD people rather than detonations. Recently I’ve been finding the spangram fairly quickly and working my way around the board from there, but I found today more difficult and didn’t get HUBBUB until near the end. I did manage to get through without taking any hints, but it was far from a straightforward search, with BOISTEROUS taking me a while to get through. A Sunday stretch.
